Ryanair to Launch Flights from Yerevan to Rome, Milan, and Berlin Starting in 2020

One of Europe’s largest low-cost airlines, Ryanair, will begin flights from Yerevan to Rome and Milan starting January 2020, and during the summer, it will add flights to Berlin. For the first time, flights will also be operated from Gyumri to Europe.

“Ryanair” will provide a flight from Gyumri to Munich. This was announced today by David O'Brien, the commercial director of Ryanair, during a press conference held in the arrival hall of the ‘Zvartnots’ International Airport. He noted that the 130,000 passengers the airline will transport will also contribute to job openings at the airport. “If you compare our fares with those of full-service airlines, these 130,000 passengers will save 20 million euros,” said the airline's commercial director.

David O'Brien briefly presented Ryanair, emphasizing that it has the largest network in Europe. This year, the airline expects to serve 150 million customers, with that number expected to rise to 200 million next year. Ryanair consists of four airlines, with a fleet of 500 aircraft operating more than 2,000 routes. According to the director, the secret to their success is very simple: they offer efficient services with modern aircraft at such low prices, which others cannot compete with.
