Erdogan's Response to the USA and Germany
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has rejected the United States' demand to cease military operations in Syria, stating that Turkey will never declare a cessation of hostilities and 'will not negotiate with terrorists.'
Erdogan emphasized that Ankara is not concerned about the threat of American sanctions, and the operations will continue until the designated objectives are achieved.
The President has also criticized Germany's Foreign Minister, noting that he knows nothing about politics. It is noteworthy that yesterday Maas announced that Germany would halt granting permits for arms supplies to Turkey in protest.
It should also be mentioned that Canadian authorities have temporarily suspended arms supplies to Turkey as well. 'Canada unequivocally condemns Turkey’s military incursion into Syria,' stated Canada’s Foreign Ministry.
Furthermore, I would like to present the countries that have previously refused to supply arms to Turkey: Sweden, Netherlands, Finland, Norway, France, Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
