Houses on Meszarents Street Are on the Brink of Collapse (Photos)
On October 14 at 1:49 PM, the 911 service received a report that the outer wall of one of the houses on Meszarents Street in Yerevan had collapsed, and other walls were cracking, posing a risk of further collapse. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene from the fire and rescue squad of the Emergency Situations Ministry's Yerevan department and a rapid response group from the National Center for Crisis Management.
It was revealed that in the morning, the outer layer of the bedroom wall of one of the houses on Meszarents Street had collapsed, partially (about 4 square meters), and there is a danger of collapse in another section of the house. Cracks have also appeared on the outer walls of an adjacent house; fortunately, there are no casualties. The rescuers have cordoned off the area.
