‘Zhamanak’: The Freedom Fighter Tortured by Manvel Grigoryan Will Continue to Remain in Custody
‘Zhamanak’ newspaper reports that the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kotayk Province has rejected the conditional early release of freedom fighter Ashot Isakhanyan, who was tortured by General Manvel Grigoryan and held in captivity for 22 days, chained and kept in the same cage with bears. He will continue to remain in custody and serve the remaining 1 year and 3 months of his sentence.
The freedom fighter stated in an interview with ‘Zhamanak’ that this decision is a result of the prevailing ‘Serjism’ in the judicial system.
