Expired Food Destroyed in Artashat
A citizen reported on the "Food Safety / Hetq" platform on Facebook that they were sold expired, moldy candies at one of the stores in Artashat city.
Thanks to the quick response from specialists of the Food Safety Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia, expired products were discovered not only at that store but also other expired food items at the sales point owned by Marat Geghamyan, located at 115a August 23 street in Artashat.
After regulatory measures were taken, a total of 3 boxes of expired minced meat, 5 liters of natural and carbonated juices, one canned cooked meat, 6 tins of condensed milk, 6 "Twix" chocolate bars, 3 "Yashkino" chocolate wafers, and 22 beers were removed from sale and destroyed.
The inspectors of the Food Safety Inspection Body issued a directive to rectify the violations.
