‘Zhamanak’: ‘Levi’ Light from the Metro

‘Zhamanak’ newspaper reports: ‘According to our information, the National Security Service (NSS) has not yet completed its inspections of the Yerevan metro. As is known, a criminal case is currently being investigated by the NSS based on the irregularities discovered during the inspections in the Yerevan metro. However, the inspections are still ongoing.

Moreover, according to the information we have received, the Yerevan municipality is also conducting inspections of the metro. Everything is being thoroughly verified. Notably, quite interesting episodes are being revealed during these inspections.

For example, it may be disclosed, or has already been disclosed, that ‘levis’ (illegal connections) have been set up in several buildings from the metro for years. We were told that for years the residential building located at the intersection of Republic and Buzand streets, where the Mayor Haik Marutyan currently resides, has been supplied with power from the metro illegally. Several other well-known figures also live in this building.
