UK Parliament to Suspend Work Until October 14

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has announced that parliamentary work will be suspended until October 14. This has been reported by Ria.ru.

The Prime Minister spoke with the Queen and requested her to pause the current parliamentary session in mid-September. After the traditional period for party conferences, the second session of the current parliament will commence on Monday, October 14.

Considering that MPs will return from recess on September 3, they will have a few days before and after this parliamentary suspension to attempt to prevent the UK from leaving the EU without an agreement.

The suspension of parliamentary work will give MPs the opportunity to explore and ratify a new agreement with the EU, should there be consensus on such a document.
