Salary Increases Yet to Happen in 4 Military Units, Will Be Resolved Quickly, Says Nikol Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has posted on his Facebook page:
As a result of the government's decision, I present the specific figures for the monthly salary increases of the Armenian Armed Forces personnel effective from June 1 of this year:
- Squad Commander – 23,000 AMD, 7% increase;
- Deputy Squad Commander – 20,000 AMD, 7% increase;
- Company Commander – 85,000 AMD, 12% increase;
- Platoon Commander – 96,000 AMD, 18% increase;
- Section Commander – 72,000 AMD, 18% increase;
- Senior Private – 38,000 AMD, 18% increase;
- Contract Soldiers – 30,000 AMD, 18% increase.
The figures mentioned above represent the increased portion of the salaries. These numbers provide a general idea, as they may vary slightly depending on the nature of the service and rank. The army is a multi-faceted and multi-position structure, and I have mentioned only a small portion of the possible military positions.
Currently, salary increases have not yet occurred in 4 military units due to their status. This issue will be resolved quickly, and the salary increases for personnel in those units will take effect retroactively from June 1, meaning they will not lose any pay.
