Analyst: Over 20,000 Syrian Armenians Have Come to Armenia, Yet It Has Not Gained International Attention
International analyst Armenak Tokmajyan has recently been focusing on the movement of Syrian refugees. He tells SHANTNEWS that this issue is significant not just for Syria, but for the countries in the region, Europe, and the world at large.
He notes that the presence of Syrian refugees is particularly unprecedented in Lebanon, which has repercussions for the country. Among the refugees is a considerable number of Armenians, some of whom have come to Armenia. However, according to the analyst, international organizations have not given this issue the necessary attention.
