A New Wave of Hot Air Approaches Armenia from Iraq: Gagik Surenyan
A new wave of hot air is approaching Armenia from the regions of Iraq. Starting today and until August 16, the air temperature across all provinces will gradually rise by 5-6 degrees.
This was stated by Gagik Surenyan, the head of the Meteorological Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on his Facebook page.
The hottest day is expected to be August 16, when the air temperature in the Ararat Plain and Yerevan, as well as in the Syunik lowland region, will reach between +38 and +39 degrees during the period from 16:00 to 18:00, with some low-lying areas even experiencing temperatures of +40 degrees.
In the coming five days, there will also be a high fire danger situation in the lowland and pre-mountain regions.
