Another Twist from the Government: Gevorg Petrosyan

The head of the government, who rejected the proposal, had previously demanded an investigation into violations of workers' rights when he was in the opposition. This was stated by Gevorg Petrosyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party, on his Facebook page, referring to the legislative initiative he authored. The initiative suggested that if an employee fails to fulfill their duties for an entire day without a valid reason, it should legally be equated to the employee not showing up for work.

“In the government's latest twist, as they rejected my legislative initiative... And this is particularly interesting given that the head of the government who rejected the proposal was once an opposition figure demanding a criminal case be opened against violations of workers' rights... So what has changed now? There is much to say; I will talk about it later on air, and not only then...” he noted.
