2 Armenian Pilots Saved the Lives of 171 People
On July 16, a potentially tragic incident was averted for passengers flying from Moscow to Chișinău. The most horrifying nightmare could have turned into reality. Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft's crew identified a technical failure in the right engine. We may have been hearing about yet another aviation disaster if it weren’t for these pilots. They exhibited great professionalism by swiftly shutting down the engine and deciding to return to Moscow, as reported by ArmLink on their Facebook page.
The airplane successfully landed at Domodedovo Airport. It was only after that the pilots were able to breathe a sigh of relief. And do you know what is the most incredible part of this story? The captain and the co-pilot were Armenians: Vardan Sargsyan and Alexey Musayelyan.
The heroism of the Armenian pilots saved the lives of 167 passengers (including 3 children) and a 6-member crew.
