New Theory on President Berdymukhammedov's Disappearance

The Turkmen opposition portal "Turkmenistan Chronicles" reports that the disappearance of the country's president, Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, from the public eye is related not to his death, but rather to the serious illness of his mother.

It is noted that the mother of the President of Turkmenistan, Ogulabat Berdymukhammedova, has been undergoing treatment in Germany for 10 days, and her condition is assessed as serious. Just ten days ago, Berdymukhammedov disappeared from public view.

Local media reports indicate that Berdymukhammedov has not appeared before the public for about two weeks. On July 15, state television announced that he had gone on vacation to dedicate time to writing his next book. At the same time, some media outlets reported that on July 12, the presidential plane had landed in Germany.

Yesterday, there were reports regarding the death of the President of Turkmenistan. Later, political analyst Aslan Rubaev, who initially reported on the president's purported death, apologized for the dissemination of misinformation.
