Azerbaijan's Gunfire in the Nakhchivan Area was Not Targeted: Tonoyan
Days ago, the gunfire from Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan area was not targeted. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, to reporters.
"The shots fired were not targeted. We have taken measures and established communication with our neighbor to prevent such incidents from recurring," Tonoyan said.
When asked whether this refers to the communication mentioned by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Tonoyan responded positively.
Regarding how the communication is functioning, the minister stated: "Incidents happen; we check, we notify, and the other side takes measures. This is a mediated communication; we are not speaking directly but through designated officials. This is a normal and positive process."
