Don't Drag Pashinyan into Your Failures: Arpine Hovhannisyan
Former MP Arpine Hovhannisyan wrote on her Facebook page:
“The entire spectrum of statements by government representatives today once again sadly proves that these people are absolutely incapable of listening to alternative opinions—even when it comes to a reputable international organization before which the Republic of Armenia has undertaken a number of obligations. Instead, in line with their style, the authorities reduced all discussions to the level of where the 'opportunists' found the 'highly' classified document, and whether the document is a record or not.
You constantly drum that you are a government of the people, yet you acquire agreements and conceal them from the same people in such a way that the only option left for the 'opportunists' is to publish what you are so carefully hiding.
By the way, before speaking about one-sided interpretations, you should pay attention to the fact that it was not accidental that the entire English text was also published. So that you can 'interpret' and not leave it as a 'fragmentary' commentary.
P.S. I advise the young Minister of Justice to think long and hard before making statements; they say it's helpful. It always has been for him.
I can certainly say, due to my current non-partisan status, that the previous authorities have at least one clear advantage over the current authorities. Those MPs who never understood anything from the Council of Europe, the Venice Commission, its documents, or the activities of those bodies, never, I repeat, never commented on the assessments of the Venice Commission and other international organizations. I wish the same for your like-minded MPs.
And I won't even comment on the support between godfathers and godsons.
P.S.S. Don’t drag Pashinyan into your failures. Each time you compel him to save you from your failures thanks to his personal reputation and trust, forcing him to make yet another mistake. The Prime Minister is at the head of the executive branch and should not make statements related to the Constitutional Court; he should not make them, and ultimately, there's no need for him to do so. With such supporters and allies, Pashinyan doesn’t even need enemies.
I know that in interpersonal communications, you prefer not to show that you read my or other opinion write-ups, and you search for a personal trace in every post, but this speaks not only of 'political imbecility' but also of a very simplistic approach. The reactions to and impact of what is not said do not change.”
