12 Dead and Missing Due to Heavy Rains in Russia
Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko has reported that the death toll from floods in the Irkutsk region has reached 12. This information was provided by the РИА «Новости» news agency.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the figures are continuously changing. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the number of injured stands at 751, with 153 individuals hospitalized. Reports also indicate that 9 people are missing.
The floods were triggered by heavy rainfall, prompting the declaration of a state of emergency in the region.
