VIDEO: Floods in Irkutsk Result in Casualties and Missing Persons

The rescue operations continue in the Irkutsk region of Russia. This night, the city of Tulun in the region was evacuated due to heavy rainfall that has led to severe flooding. Russian media report that a water conduit has burst due to the precipitation in the city. In total, 4,000 houses have been damaged.

The authorities have closed the "Siberia" highway and declared a state of emergency. Meteorologists predict that the situation is expected to improve in the near future.
