Tickets from Russia to Georgia Have Increased by One Third
Tickets for flights from Russia to Georgia have increased by one third. This is reported by RBC, citing the travel service Tutu.ru. The price has risen by approximately 34 percent; the cheapest flight now costs 7,000 rubles, while changing planes will set you back 9,500 rubles.
It is clarified that the prices have risen against the backdrop of deteriorating relations following the incident involving Sergey Gavrilov, a State Duma deputy, in the Georgian parliament.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an order prohibiting Russian airlines from carrying Russian citizens to Georgia. Flights of Georgian airlines within Russia will be suspended starting July 8.
