Husband Stabs Ex-Wife in the Heart in Ararat Region

Today, on May 17, an emergency incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 07:50, the Ararat Medical Center received a call notifying that a citizen with a "stab wound to the left side of the chest with internal bleeding" had been transported there and was in critical condition.

According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators have determined that the injured individual is 38-year-old Karine Hakobyan, a resident of the 2nd building of the Gold Extraction Factory in Ararat City. She is currently in the intensive care unit of the hospital. Doctors have informed the police and investigators that she is unable to provide an explanation about the incident.

While doctors are fighting for the victim's life, police and investigators in the Ararat region have apprehended 32-year-old Gevorg Ghevondyan, a resident of the Shirak region, on suspicion of causing severe bodily harm to Hakobyan. Senior investigator Sisak Hayrapetyan, who leads the investigative efforts, has initiated a criminal case based on the fact. Police and investigators also found the weapon used in the crime, a kitchen knife, which was seized by the investigator.
