Soldier Killed in Ural-4310 Vehicle Rollover

On May 14, 2019, around 16:30, during the training exercises of the Armenian Ministry of Defense’s N military unit, a soldier died due to injuries sustained from the rollover of an Ural-4310 vehicle. Preliminary reports indicate that the incident occurred as a result of violating the rules for operating or using combat vehicles.

The commander of the vehicle, conscript junior sergeant Ararat Simon’s Khechumyan, succumbed to his injuries, and a criminal case has been initiated.

This was reported by the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Naira Harutyunyan. “A criminal case has been initiated in the sixth military investigative division of the Investigative Committee under part 2 of Article 377 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, and an investigation is underway,” she stated.
