Minor Stabs 51-Year-Old Man in Kotayk Province

The Kotayk Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia has revealed a case of serious bodily harm inflicted on a 51-year-old man.

According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, it has been established within the framework of a criminal case initiated on the grounds of serious bodily harm that on May 6, 2019, around 15:15, a minor born in 2002 intentionally stabbed a resident of Abovyan, born in 1968, with a knife during an argument over everyday issues, causing significant harm to his health.

Based on the gathered evidence, charges have been brought against the minor under the first part of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The chosen measure of restraint for him has been parental supervision.

The pre-investigation continues, and measures are being taken to ensure an objective, complete, and comprehensive investigation of the circumstances surrounding the case.
