Fire Breaks Out at Parakar Lacquer Factory
On May 13, at 19:06, a call was received by the emergency services reporting a fire at a lacquer factory on Komitas Street in the village of Parakar, Ararat Province.
A fire and rescue team consisting of four units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene with a complexity rating of 'BIS-1', along with an emergency response team from the National Crisis Management Center.
It was determined that the fire broke out in a paint and lacquer factory located in the 3rd alley of 1st Komitas Street (approximately 700 square meters).
The fire was contained by 19:38 and extinguished by 19:58.
The factory was completely burned, including its equipment (45 square meters), and partially affected the vacuum equipment workshop (55 square meters) and the suspended ceiling (approximately 80 square meters).
There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
