According to the 'Past' newspaper, as is known, the price of gas imported to Armenia has increased as of January 1. However, Armenian citizens do not feel this price hike. It was previously announced that in 2019, the gas price would not increase, but this will have other repercussions. 'Gazprom Armenia' has already stated that due to the changes in the price of natural gas supplied to Armenia, discussions are currently underway regarding various complex issues, including evaluating cost reductions in the system, reviewing the number of employees, and the potential reduction of positions.

This announcement has led to the circulation of various figures. According to 'Past', the discussion is actually about nearly 2000 employees. This means that despite the fact that gas prices have not increased for Armenian citizens, around 2000 citizens of Armenia may effectively be deprived of their means of livelihood.

More details can be found in today's issue of the newspaper.
