Zartonk Community Leader Paruir Sargsyan Resigns
Paruir Sargsyan, the leader of the Zartonk community in the Armavir region, has resigned a short while ago. This information was confirmed in an interview with Tert.am by Seyran Sahakyan, a resident of the same village.
He also noted that the number of villagers gathering in the streets is gradually decreasing: “Right now, there are many police officers in the village to prevent possible clashes.”
It is noteworthy that yesterday, residents of Zartonk blocked the Armavir-Yerevan interstate road, demanding the resignation of community leader Paruir Sargsyan. Tensions were once again high in the community this morning, as villagers had blocked the Yerevan-Gyumri railway earlier in the day.
