Grandson of Zartonq Village Head Arrested

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has provided information regarding an incident that occurred in Zartonq village, Ararat province. Naira Harutyunyan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, announced that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 258, Part 4 of the RA Criminal Code concerning the events in Zartonq village.

As a result of urgent investigative actions, several circumstances surrounding the armed incident have been clarified. Two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of hooliganism. Necessary investigative, procedural, and other actions are being conducted to clarify the circle of individuals involved in the incident and assess the legal consequences of each person's actions. The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be provided.

It is worth mentioning that one of those arrested is the grandson of the village head, Paruyr Sargsyan.
