Driver of Drifting Nissan Interrogated, Not Arrested
On April 8, the investigation department of the Central Police Department initiated a criminal case based on hooliganism related to an incident that occurred on April 4 in Saralanj Street of the capital.
It is noteworthy that a video was circulated on social media showing a Nissan vehicle blatantly displaying disrespect towards other road users, grossly violating traffic regulations, including traffic safety rules, while 'drifting' in the center of the road.
The Chief of Police, Valeriy Osipyan, had instructed to promptly locate the driver who committed the violation and hold them accountable to the full extent of the law. Police officers analyzed the video footage and identified the law-breaking driver, who was brought to the police station. The vehicle was then moved to a special area maintained by the traffic police. Following the initiation of the criminal case, the driver of the Nissan was interrogated as a suspect at the police station. A preventive measure in the form of a signature not to leave was chosen for him. The investigation continues.
