Erdogan's Party Demands Recount in Istanbul
The ruling "Justice and Development" Party in Turkey has demanded a recount of all votes in Istanbul.
"We demand from the Supreme Election Council that ballots be recounted in the Beyoğlu district. We will appeal to the Supreme Election Council through provincial electoral boards, requesting a recount in all 38 districts," announced the party's vice president, Ali Ihsan Yavuz.
According to him, violations occurred during the elections held on March 31, and the party will appeal to the election commission demanding a recount in all districts of Istanbul.
