Armen Ashotyan Invited to Discussion on Issue from Armenia: The Republican Party's 'Gastroli' - 'Fact'

'Fact' newspaper reports that today, on April 4, the German Bundestag will discuss the ratification of the Armenia-EU agreement. It has become known to 'Fact' that Armenia's Republican Party (RPA) Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan has been invited to this discussion, which is considered a significant and multilayered gesture.

With this invitation, the Europeans are signaling that the preparation and signing of this agreement is undeniably a contribution of the previous administration, and they confirm that RPA members made serious efforts in the past.

Essentially, by inviting Ashotyan, there is an emphasis that regardless of the extra-parliamentary status, they continue to work with RPA members. The fact that the RPA is a member of the European People's Party (EPP) and their collaboration within the framework of the 'Konrad Adenauer' Foundation has likely played a significant role in this invitation.

However, whatever the main motivations might be, the fact remains that the Republic of Armenia has been invited to this crucial discussion through RPA, specifically through Ashotyan. Notably, according to the newspaper's information, no current members of parliament were invited to this discussion.
