Fire on Charents Street: Updated
On March 27, at 17:12, the 911 service received a report that a fire had broken out in a laboratory located at 17 Charents Street in Yerevan. Firefighters were requested for assistance.
Four fire-fighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia were dispatched to the scene under the complexity code "BIS-1", along with emergency response and operational teams from the National Crisis Management Center.
It was discovered that the fire had erupted in an unused laboratory owned by the Yerevan Machine Engineering Plant located at 17/1 Charents Street.
The fire was contained at 17:44 and extinguished by 17:51. One of the rooms on the second floor was completely burned (40 square meters).
