82-Year-Old Grandmother Gagged with Duct Tape and Robbed at Home

The Lori Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is conducting preliminary investigations into a robbery that occurred in the Lori province on March 17.

According to shamshyan.com, at approximately 3:50 a.m., a notification was received by the police department in Tashir that, between 10:30 p.m. on March 16 and 2:50 a.m. on March 17, unknown individuals had entered the home of 82-year-old Nuyem Hakobyan in village Metsavan by removing a window glass. They attacked the defenseless woman, gagged her with duct tape, and stole a gold ring, 220,000 Armenian drams, 50 US dollars, and 15,000 Russian rubles before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement and investigative departments are carrying out necessary operational and investigative joint actions to reveal the crime, identify the perpetrators, and recover the stolen property. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, the damage caused to N. Hakobyan amounts to approximately 600,000 drams.
