Traffic Accident in Gegharkunik Province: 1 Dead, 3 Injured

On March 14, a major and tragic traffic accident occurred in the Gegharkunik province. Around 19:00, two Opel Astra vehicles, with license plates 35 AX 758 and 35 TV 543, collided head-on on the 77th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan-Martuni highway.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, one person died at the scene, and three others were taken to the medical center in Gavar with bodily injuries. Emergency response teams from the Road Police promptly arrived at the scene. Investigators from the Gavar Investigative Division of the Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Committee of Armenia also worked at the site, where a criminal case was initiated under the second part of Article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

The police and investigative division are working to identify the drivers, as well as the deceased and the injured.
