According to the newspaper, Mher Ghavalyan has been charged with failing to properly ensure safety regulations while serving as the commander of an artillery division, resulting in the burning of 9 hectares of barley belonging to M. Alaverdian.

The criminal case has revealed that Alaverdian suffered significant property damage amounting to 1 million 600 thousand drams due to negligence. A precautionary measure has been imposed on the deputy colonel, requiring him to sign a commitment not to leave the country.
