Karen Karapetyan to Get New Position in Russia
The Russian government has approved a list of seven candidates to be included in the board of directors of the Zarubezhneft company.
This was reported by Tert.am, citing the TASS news agency. All candidates are currently part of the board. Among those proposed for the board are former Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, First Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Alexey Texler, current chairman of the board Evgeny Murov, Director of the Department at the Ministry of Energy Alexander Gladlov, Zarubezhneft's CEO Sergey Kudryashov, former Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov, and head of the Russian Energy Agency Anatoly Tikhonov.
Zarubezhneft is a diversified oil and gas holding, wholly owned by the Russian Federation. The holding possesses 13 licenses for geological exploration and hydrocarbon extraction in Russia. Additionally, the company conducts extraction operations in Vietnam.
