Attempt to Smuggle 109 Grams of Methamphetamine Prevented by Customs Committee
Officials from the Customs Committee's Anti-Smuggling Department, along with servicemen from the Russian Federation's border troops, detected a smuggling attempt at the "Agarak" state border checkpoint. During a customs inspection of a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, identified as G.V., authorities discovered a white powdery substance resembling methamphetamine, weighing a total of 109 grams, concealed within the lining of the individual's jacket in two polyethylene packets.
Following this incident, a criminal case was initiated by the investigative department of the Customs Committee under Article 267.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. The citizen G.V. has been arrested.
