Collapse in Kapan City
On March 8, at 20:40, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received a call at the '911' service reporting that a retaining wall in the yard of one of the houses had collapsed on 4th Alley of miners in Kapan, Syunik Province. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but assistance was needed.
An operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that the retaining wall (15x2x0.4m) had collapsed, causing approximately 10 cubic meters of soil to slide into the ravine (about 5m).
The rescuers have cordoned off the area.
