8-Year-Old Boy Found Hanging by His Brother: Investigative Committee

The Investigative Committee of Armenia's Shengavit administrative district is preparing materials to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of an 8-year-old child.

This information was reported by the Investigative Committee. According to preliminary data, on February 23, 2019, at 15:30, a call was received at the Shengavit Police Department from the 'Holy Mother of God' medical center, stating that they had transported a deceased resident of Yerevan born in 2010.

Immediately, an operational-investigative group was dispatched to the hospital. During the preparation of materials, it was revealed that the 8-year-old boy had been found hanging by his 18-year-old brother in their home located in the Shengavit administrative district.

According to preliminary information from the forensic expert, no signs of violence were found on the body during the external examination. Currently, an investigative team is working at the scene. An inquiry is underway to clarify the circumstances of the 8-year-old's death.
