If the Party Decides, Arayik Harutyunyan Will Participate in the Presidential Elections of Artsakh

Arayik Harutyunyan, advisor to the President of Artsakh and head of the "Free Homeland" party, stated that his participation in the presidential elections scheduled for 2020 will be guided by the decision of his party. He made this statement during an interview with Aysor.am.

"The decision regarding the participation of 'Free Homeland' in the 2020 presidential elections will be made at the congress, as it is the authority of the congress and not of Arayik Harutyunyan. The congress will probably take place in August or September. At that time, 'Free Homeland' will officially announce its candidate for the presidential elections," said the Artsakh official.

When asked if he would be personally ready to assume such a responsible position if the party nominates him as a presidential candidate, Arayik Harutyunyan replied that it would depend on the party's stance.
