Closed and Impassable Roads in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 3, at 08:00, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed.
The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable.
There are areas of black ice on the roads of Aragatsotn Province, especially on the Sotk-Karvachar, Gyumri-Spitak roads, in the regions of Ashotsk and Amasia in Shirak Province, and on the Goriss-Sisian road in Syunik Province, in sections known as “Zanger” and “Meghravan.”
The Goris-Kapan road is experiencing fog.
In the Ashotsk region of Shirak Province, there is a blizzard on the Vardenyats Pass.
Drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
Regarding Lars
According to the information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstvinda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to the information received from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Republic of North Ossetia, there are freight trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
