Russian Ambassador on Arms Supply to Azerbaijan
Today, the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopyrkin, avoided giving a clear answer during a press conference when asked why Russia continues to sell weapons to Azerbaijan.
“I am not prepared to discuss the details of military-political cooperation. I will simply say that the military-political cooperation that is conducted by Russia with Azerbaijan is built on the main principle of preventing a disruption of the balance in the region. In other words, not doing anything that could pose a real threat to the region, including to the security of Armenia,” said the ambassador.
