It Is Known When the Lights of Armenia's Main Christmas Tree Will Be Turned On
It has been announced when the lights of the main Christmas tree in Republic Square will be ceremoniously lit. Hakob Karapetyan, the press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, informed Armenpress that Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan will be present at the festive event.
The installation work for the country's main Christmas tree started at the beginning of December, and the lights will be turned on the evening of December 21.
The Christmas tree stands 37 meters tall. It is made of high-quality artificial fir branches and decorated with light chains and 1,500 ornaments. This is the first new Christmas tree installed in Republic Square since 2005.
