Zakhrova's Strong Response to Incidents Involving Pashinyan
In an interview with Sputnik, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, described the West's claims that Moscow has launched a campaign against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan as "cynical."
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the recent incidents involving Pashinyan during the election campaign. She detailed episodes related to Armenian citizens, which the PM has recently shouted at, including remarks directed at one woman, indicating she should be thankful that her head wasn’t smashed in a corner bathroom.
Zakharova referred to Pashinyan's argument with the sister of missing military doctor Grant Papikyan, Arpine Sogoyan. Additionally, she highlighted an incident from the previous day in Spitak, where Pashinyan accused the grandfather of a fallen soldier of participating in a protest for financial compensation.
“Cynicism must have its limits; why is this situation attributed to Russia? What does Russia have to do with this? No, it is not us; it is Pashinyan,” she stated.
