People living next to Lake Sevan are obliged to live rich lives, said Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, during a meeting with residents of Gegharkunik.

“We will seriously engage with all your regions, especially Lake Sevan. From 2023 to the end of 2025, the births in your area have decreased by 10 percent, mortality has increased by 6 percent, and natural growth has diminished by 30 percent. In other words, the population of the region has decreased by 30 percent. All of this is due to poor living conditions. I want you to explain to your people that seeing asphalt in the yard is worth one percent of what I presented,” he stated.

“Industry has decreased by 2 percent, agriculture by 4 percent, construction by 1 percent, and only services have increased by 0.1 percent. I read this so that you would have an understanding of the issues facing the region. Understanding the seriousness of all these problems, we must together demonstrate great patriotism and stop this weak, meaningless government that has brought our country to the brink of disaster, because no asphalt will mean anything if the people in these areas do not live,” he added.

“Pashinyan can ride a bicycle alone on that asphalt or invite Aliyev to ride together, but we must not allow it and must stop these awful processes affecting our homeland and your region. Regarding Vardenis, I want to say that since the leader of this government cannot in any way contradict his boss, we have problems in all border regions,” Samvel Karapetyan concluded.
