No Family Has Escaped Theft by HETC: Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, declared that there is not a single family in Armenia from which the Electricity Networks of Armenia (HETC) stole money during the tenure of previous administrations. “There isn’t such a family, there aren’t such institutions,” he stated, emphasizing that “there are no private funds in HETC. HETC operates with loans that we are paying for. The electricity tariff applicable in HETC is also covered by us.”
The Prime Minister apologized to citizens who were without electricity on New Year's Eve. According to him, this issue should have been addressed much earlier.
