Zelensky Reveals Potential Timing for Presidential Elections in Ukraine
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced that the law regarding presidential elections during wartime could be passed in February of this year. His remarks were cited by RBC-Ukraine.
He pointed out that this will depend on the outcomes of peace negotiations and the work of the Verkhovna Rada's working group.
“I believe that if we manage to accomplish everything in January, then February can undoubtedly be a tense month for legislative changes,” he stated.
According to the Ukrainian leader, much will depend on the parliamentarians, as they need to demonstrate their work and results concerning the proposed changes, as well as modifications to election legislation, the code, and laws regarding referendums.
