Russia's Foreign Ministry Issues Demand to the US
The United States should not obstruct the swift return of Russians to their homeland, stated the Russian Federation's Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the crew of the seized 'Marinera' tankers.
“Moscow also demands that the United States ensure humanitarian treatment of Russian citizens,” the statement said.
It is noteworthy that earlier reports confirmed that the Russian Ministry of Transport officially acknowledged that US naval forces boarded the 'Marinera' vessel in neutral waters, after which communication with the ship was cut off.
