As President of the United States, I Will Monitor: Trump's New Decision on Venezuela
Venezuela will "transfer" 30-50 million barrels of oil to the United States, which are subject to sanctions. This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.
"This oil will be sold at market prices, and I, as the President of the United States, will monitor that revenue to ensure it is used for the welfare of the people of Venezuela and the United States," he noted.
It is worth mentioning that while the Venezuelan leader has faced charges in the U.S., which he did not accept in court, his ally, the Vice President of Venezuela, has officially sworn in as the interim president. Delcy Rodriguez, who had decisively supported Nicolás Maduro after his arrest, has expressed willingness to cooperate with the United States.
