Russia Supports Venezuela's Appointed President and National Interests
The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced its support for Venezuela's appointed president, Delcy Rodriguez, and the government's efforts to protect national interests.
"Venezuela must be granted the right to determine its own fate without any external destructive interference. The sovereign development of countries in the region must be guaranteed. Russia consistently advocates for the de-escalation of the current situation and for the resolution of any existing issues through constructive dialogue and respect for international legal norms, primarily the UN Charter. Latin America and the Caribbean should remain a zone of peace," the Ministry stated in its declaration.
