Russia Calls on the U.S.
Russia has condemned the actions carried out by the United States against Venezuela during a meeting of the UN Security Council. This was announced by Vasily Nebenzya, Russia's permanent representative to the UN.
Nebenzya stated that there is no justification for the actions carried out by the United States in Caracas.
He emphasized that "Russia calls on the United States to release the elected president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro."
"Russia hopes that America's actions will be objectively assessed by other countries," Nebenzya said.
It is reminded that on January 3, the U.S. conducted a military operation in Venezuela, during which airborne forces detained Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
