The Ministry of Internal Affairs Warns: Speed Cameras to Be Installed

The absence of technical means for monitoring maximum traffic speed often leads drivers to exceed the permissible speed limits, creating hazardous situations. This was reported by the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Considering the reduction of accidents as a priority, speed monitoring devices will be activated starting January 5, 2026, at the following locations:

• Monitoring device near the "Erebuni" Medical Center in Yerevan.
• Monitoring device on Grigor Narekatsi Street in Artik, Shirak Province, near the main school number 6 (the permitted speed is 60 km/h).

“Dear citizens, road safety depends not only on knowing the rules but also on adhering to them. The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs urges strict compliance with traffic rules to ensure your safety and that of others,” the statement said.
