Shoghakat TV Will Cease Operations from January 1
Shoghakat TV will cease operations from January 1. The corresponding decision was included in the list of non-reported questions during today's government meeting.
The justification for the decision states that the basis for dissolution is the law on amendments to the Law on Audiovisual Media, dated October 24, 2025.
The main type of activity of the channel involves the production and broadcasting of spiritual and cultural television programs. It is noteworthy that the National Assembly approved the draft amendment to the Law on Audiovisual Media on October 24, which plans to reduce the number of public broadcasters to two, while simultaneously removing the requirement to include educational and cultural programming.
